10 Items to Declutter in your Bathroom

When was the last time you decluttered and organized your bathroom? How often do you declutter your bathroom? I just finished my September declutter, and I was amazed at how much I ended up getting rid of, Although it should not be surprising since the bathroom is one of the rooms in the house that receives new products on a weekly bases. Don’t you buy something that is stored or that is used in the bathroom every week when you are doing your groceries? I find it best to declutter and reorganize my bathroom twice a year. In March just before Spring, this allows me to take stock at what we will need to get for spring and summer season, (sunscreen, aloe gel, bug spray, etc.),

and in the first week of September, during this clean out, I take stock of what I will need to get back to school. I find that this is the best way to keep my bathroom clutter-free and organized. If you are interested in decluttering your bathroom, and I guess you might be if you are taking the time to read this article, Then the following is my list of ten items plus a few extras tips to help you with your task.

Towels

All you need is three bath towels per person in the house, plus one extra set for a guest, this includes hand towels. You can donate any towels to your local animal shelter. Do not also forget to toss out any worn or stained Wash Cloth and you might also want to take stock of your Bath Mats and get rid of any that might be worn out, or you no longer need. Do you really need bath mats taking up storage space when you honestly only need two per bathroom, one in use and one extra?

But if it does not have an expiration date, then you will want to check that it does not smell bad, has not dried out, changed inconsistency, or separated if it has then dumped it out. As for any other product that is still good but you no longer care to use or like you might want to pass it on to a friend or family member that might want to try it, or you can donate it to a local shelter. Conclusion

Congratulations on your new clutter-free and organized bathroom. You can think of it as your Spa now. Let me share with you a quote that summarizes how I feel about decluttering, and it applies to every room in your house, not just the bathroom.

If you’re not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You’re not going to start using it more by shoving it in a closet somewhere.
